INFRARED INDUSTRIAL HEATERS
Industrial heaters from Heraeus Noblelight cover the spectrum of applications. Our infrared heaters are grouped into five types, based on wavelength. All styles of Heraeus quartz heaters are available in both stock and OEM configurations.
Short Wave, Twin Tube Infrared Heaters are comparable in spectrum to, and slightly longer in wavelength than halogen lamps. Because of their stable construction, twin tube infrared heaters can be supplied in lengths up to 3 meters. They offer virtually double the life compared to halogen heaters because of their robust industrial construction.
Short Wave, Single Tube NIR Infrared Heaters from Heraeus are suited for situations requring high temperatures in the shortest possible time. And because these Heraeus NIR lamps are manufactured in standard configuration designs, matching the right infrared heater to your application is a snap.
Short Wave, Water-Cooled Infrared Heaters are special twin tube IR heaters with one water cooled channel. These infrared heater types transfer a large amount of energy (more than a million watts per square meter) in a very short time. Temperatures of more than 1000°C on the surface of the product can be achieved within seconds. Popular applications include coil coating, edge coating on wood, and surface sealing.
Fast Response, Medium Wave Infrared Heaters are twin tube IR heaters with a spectrum between short wave and standard medium wave heaters. These infrared heaters can be supplied in lengths up to 4.5 m so they are ideally suited to be used in large format applications such as wide webs. They achieve a significantly higher power density than standard medium wave heaters.
Carbon Infrared Heaters are a recent development. These IR heaters use a carbon ribbon as the heating element. They have very fast heating times (<2 sec) which means they are especially suitable for processes where the heat must be switched on and off quickly. The spectrum is the same as medium wave infrared heaters, so carbon heaters are efficient for heating plastics and for drying processes. Carbon heaters are produced in lengths up to 3.5 m.
Medium Wave Infrared Heaters distinguish themselves by being highly efficient and stable while having a long operating life. The Medium Wave heater spectrum is well suited for heating processes with most materials and the heaters are available in lengths up to 6m.
Hybrid Carbon/Shortwave Infrared Heaters offer all of the benefits of Carbon and Shortwave heaters using Heraeus' proven twin-tube design. This infrared heaters combine a carbon heater and a short wave infrared heater in the proven quartz glass twin tube.
Infrared Heaters for Ultrapure Water offer an IR heater which provides rapid and efficient heating of liquids without any possibility of contamination. The innovative design of this heater makes it ideal for handling sensitive process liquids (such as ultra-pure water and acids) used in semiconductor manufacture.
Ring Infrared Heaters Available internally or externally focused, ring heaters allow intense rapid heat-up of the subject material. These are available with or without the Heraeus gold reflector.
